In 1993 the business was incorporated under the name F.E. MEES Inc., originally standing for Mobile Electrical & Equipment Specialists. Watching my parents build something from the ground up left a lasting impression on me—hard work, resilience, and the willingness to take risks in order to create something meaningful.

In 2009 I moved to Minneapolis chasing a very different dream: music. I joined a rock band as a drummer and spent years pursuing life as a working musician. Like many artists, I needed a way to support that dream, and in February of 2013 a friend introduced me to the restoration and exterior construction industry.

That winter I started the way many people in this business do—walking neighborhoods in the snow, knocking on doors, inspecting homes, and learning the trade from the ground up.

Over the years I gained hands-on experience in roofing, siding, windows, storm restoration, and exterior construction. Today, I’m proud to be a licensed general contractor, combining real field experience with the values I learned growing up in a family business: strong communication, reliability, and doing quality work the right way.

Ari Applewhite began her career in the construction industry in 2011, gaining experience across residential, commercial, interior, and exterior construction. Early in her career, she worked in water mitigation and interior remodeling while also developing a strong knowledge of exterior construction.

Over the years, Ari has become highly experienced in roofing, siding, gutters, windows, decks, and a wide range of other residential and commercial construction projects. Her hands-on experience, attention to detail, and genuine curiosity about how buildings are built allow her to bring both practical knowledge and a creative perspective to every project.

Outside of construction, Ari is a musician and DJ who has spent years traveling throughout the country performing with bands and at events. She and Jessica even spent several years touring together as musicians—long before they found themselves working together in the construction industry.

Whether she’s helping a new homeowner choose the perfect siding color, working on a commercial construction project, walking a roof, or playing guitar at an open mic, Ari brings the same enthusiasm and care to everything she does. She’s passionate about people, creativity, and building things that make life better.
